Thank God I have a musical taste very wide I can go from Jazz to Thrash Metal or from Baroque to Samba. I try not to block my ears before nothing no matter the language or the rhythm. I love to experiment everything, and really I don't know how would I survive the daily madness without a little of music... singing, humming, listening, or simply snapping the fingers or marking the rhythm with the feet.

Among the musical options that I like - and that for some reason are strange for a girl of my age - are the songs of the Broadway musicals of the Jazz and Swing times.

Musicians like Irving Berlin, Bing Crosby, Duke Ellington, Fred Astaire, Oscar Hammerstein, Frank Sinatra, Tommy Dorsey, Louis Armstrong, Tom Jobim, Benny Goodman, Henry Mancini, Dean Martin, Ella Fitzgerald, Cole Porter, Judy Garland, Glenn Miller, Nat King Cole, George Gershwin and his brother Ira Gershwin are among my favorites on the called American Songbook.

Then, besides trying to include the lyrics of the songs at my blog of Música y Canciones I had the idea of trying to include quotes of some of them.
So I start with the New Yorkers brothers, composer and author respectively of unforgettable songs like "Summertime", "Embraceable You", "Someone to Watch Over Me", "I Got Rhythm", "S'Wonderful" and "They Can't Take That Away From Me" among others.


Jazz is one of the best things that you can find in your life, it can always be your friend.
